HAMILTON, William “Lloyd”

December 7, 1931 – January 30, 2018

It is with sadness that we announce that Lloyd passed away peacefully in Calgary, with his loving wife Carolyn by his side.  Lloyd will be deeply missed by Carolyn, his wife of 50 years; his children, Tony of Calgary, Julie Ramdin (Kevin) of Coquitlam and Ryan (Tanya) of Victoria; his grandchildren Gregory and Emily Ramdin; his brothers Ken (Rose), Chris (Susie) and Vern; and his sister Millie.  He is predeceased by his brother Robert.

The family would like to thank the staff at Dulcina Hospice, especially Dr. Louw, Sandra Anderson at the Foothills hospital, and Rhonda Ross, Lloyd’s homecare nurse, for their wonderful care of Lloyd during his illness.

A memorial service for Lloyd will be held at PIERSON’S FUNERAL HOME (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 10:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Calgary Poppy Fund and Veteran’s Food Bank (4539 – 6 St NE, Calgary, AB T2E 3Z6 ph: 403-265-6304).

    Carolyn & family;
    We are so sorry to learn of Lloyd’s passing. He was such a pleasant neighbor, always friendly, helpful, and willing to chat. He was so passionate about his Southern Alberta history and his lineage. We were so glad he came by for a visit after the Stampede a few years ago. Please accept our sincerest condolences, he will be missed.
