GUDAY, Ruth Myrtle
May 23, 1930 – September 13, 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ruth Guday. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, great-grandmother, and friend. Ruth was born in Dodsland, SK and passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, AB at the age of 91 years.
Ruth is survived by her children; daughters, Robyn (Mike) Bagby, Colleen Boschee, and Kelly (Greg) Toft, and her sons, Chris (Jeanette) Guday and Michael (Susan) Guday; her sister, Billie Shepherd; her grandchildren, Myles, Tara, Shawn, Brendan, Nicole, Brett, Brittany, Taylor, Emily, and Lauren; and six great-grandchildren. Ruth is predeceased by her husband George.
Ruth loved to cook, read, paint, and cheer on the Calgary Flames. She also loved to write, authoring her own book. But most of all, she loved her family. She touched a lot of people’s lives and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Foothills hospital and the staff at Grande Avenue Village in Cochrane.
No funeral service will be held, but a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth’s memory to the Heart and Stroke foundation of Alberta 119 14 St NW #100, Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6 or at http://www.heartandstroke.ca

Our sincere condolences to your family. Ruth was the “Mother of all Children” so kind hearted, caring and a house always filled with all the kids in the neighborhood. Anyone that knew her was certainly blessed. May Gods hands behold her and continue to bless the family through this difficult time.
