Dear dear friend, words cannot express how very sorry we are for your terrible loss. We will miss Erick’s friendship, laughter, his keen wit, and his big heart. Our world is a sadder and emptier place not having him in it. Carol please know that you are in our hearts and thoughts, that we love you, and wish we were there to hold you and hug you.

We were so shocked and saddened to learn of Erick’s passing. We grew very fond of Erick in the few short years we had the priviledge of knowing him. He made such a positive impression on our family as we know he did on countless others. It was so easy to see what a generous and caring man Erick was. Carol, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this terribly difficult time. Please know that if you need us for anything we are close by so please don’t ever hesitate to call on us – Erick would have been the first one to offer his help to us. We will miss him.

Dear Carol, this is a friend and past co-worker from your Bank of Montreal days sending sincere condolences to you and your family. We haven’t been in touch for many years, but I have thought of you so often over the years, and was so shocked to learn of Erick’s passing. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Dear Carol & family,
It is with deep sadness that Erik left us so suddeningly…..we were so shocked. Erik and I started on the Calgary Fire Dept in the same class, and Erik went on to ‘C’ shift and I went to ‘A’ shift so I never remember working with Erik very often. And coincidently, we ended up living in the same neighborhood of Marlborough….we lived on Maryvale Drive (remember when it was a wonderful blue collar neighborhood to live in), and believe you and Erik lived on Marbrooke Circle. Do believe that our son may have been in the same class as one of your children. Gayle and I want to wish you and your family our deepest sympathy in the loss of a husband, father and grandfather. Life is so fragile and it reminds us so often to live as there is no tomorrow and enjoy life to the fullest each day. I would definitely be at Erik’s funeral, but we are in Palm Springs at this time. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family, Larry & Gail Mortimer

Dear Carol and family, this is such a sad time, we will miss the fun times we spent with Erick
in Arizona. Without a question, he was always right there to help, that’s what a good friend does. We didn’t get to spend the time we had looked forward too in the future, but we value the time and friendship that we had together. We will miss the phone calls and just hearing what’s happening. Carol, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
