GOULD, Hazel
April 7, 1947 – December 28, 2022
With sadness we announce that Hazel Gould of St. Albert, Alberta, passed peacefully on Tuesday, December 28, 2022, in Cochrane, Alberta at the age of 75.
Hazel began her life in Lacombe, Alberta before moving to Edmonton in 1966. In 1967 she wed Alf Gould and in 1970 they welcomed Michelle into their world. She enjoyed her jobs as a hairdresser’s assistant, working in cosmetics at Woodward’s and then returning to school to become a lab tech.
Hazel will be deeply missed by her daughter, Michelle Gould; her granddaughter, Mackenzie Banfield; and her sisters, Margaret Foth and Martha Tempelton. She was predeceased by her loving mother, Mabel Foth and her long-time partner, Ernest Ray Lang.
Hazel found her greatest joys in Hawaii and Sidney, BC and in spending time with her granddaughter.
In lieu of a service, Hazel will be remembered as she becomes one with her beloved Sidney, BC in April. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada: https://alzheimer.ca/en/take-action/donate

Thank you for letting the friends at Alpine Estates in St. Albert know of Hazel’s passing. Hazel was always present in the St. Albert community and I fondly remember Hazel and Ray dressed up for the different events in St. Albert, from Rocking August to celebrations and dances at the City Hall on St. Anne Street. We miss them both.
I was also very happy to hear that she was in the Calgary near to her daughter when she passed.
Farewell my friend as you return to fond memories in B.C. in the spring. Sandra and Bob
I knew Hazel and Ray for many years when we were neighbors. They were both fantastic people and we are so sad to hear they have both passed. Hazel often spoke to us about her daughter and granddaughter. I know they were the light of her life.
Many condolences to the family,
Natalie & German
Michelle we are so very sorry and saddened to hear of your sweet mother’s recent passing. She and your dad were our good friends in the early 1970’s when Hazel and I worked together in Woodward’s cosmetics. They were also the witnesses at our marriage in Edmonton during that time. Our deep condolences to you and your daughter. Frances & Renzo
