GODOR, Zoltan

February 7, 1954 – November 11, 2019

We are heartbroken to announce that Zoltan Godor passed away in Cochrane, AB at the age of 65, after a hard fought battle with ALS.

Zoltan was born in Dorog, Hungary to Anna and Zoltan Godor, moving to Canada in 1957 at 3 years of age.  He worked for over 25 years at the Calgary Young Offenders Centre until he retired 5 years ago. Zoltan loved all sports and enjoyed going out for wings and a beer and watching the game.  Most important to Zoltan was his family and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Zoltan will be deeply missed by his son Louis (Malesa) and grandchildren Charlotte and Anderson; his son Mitchell and granddaughter Brianna Anggraeni; his sister Susan (Barry) Hoefling; nephews Stephen, Matthew and Daniel; great nieces, Emma and Elliott; and many extended family and wonderful friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane for the wonderful care they provided to Zoltan over the past months.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Cochrane Alliance Church (902 Glenbow Dr, Cochrane, AB T4C 1J2). Viewing to commence at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society of Alberta (www.alsab.ca/donate).
