    Sandy,

It was always so lovely to see you at my mum Pam’s and dad (your brother Bob’s) home.
I remember you as a quiet, gentle and kind person plus a man of few words until
you and your brother started chatting! Wow! You two could banter away!!! Haha!
Anyways, may your gentle spirit find peace and love in heaven.
All our love and prayers to family and friends.

I was saddened to hear about Sandy. I was fortunate to meet him twice in my life. The first time was in Scotland just before your family sailed to Canada.I was completely overwhelmed by Sandy and his brothers, who were playing wonderful games around the farm where they lived. Of course, they had no time wait for a wee lassie who could not keep up. The second time was when Uncle Alec passed. From then we kept a telephone friendship going for quite a number of years. He will be missed and warmly remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time.

Goodbye Sandy, our good friend. We shall love and remember you always …

Do not stand at my grave and weep
    I am not there.
    I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
    Do not stand at my grave and cry;
    I am not there.
    I did not die.
