DANIELS, Paul John
November 24, 1929 – July 11, 2013
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Paul Daniels. After a seven year struggle with lung disease he quietly passed in his sleep on July 11, 2013.
Paul’s work career was in sales and management in the farm machinery and carpet and tile businesses. His kindness, compassion, humour, integrity, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his wife of 62 years, Eileen, and his children: Kelly (Alixe), Tom (Terry), Chris (Jaki), Lisa (David Myers), Nancy (Wayne Bennett), with a special place in his heart for Barb Hall. He leaves behind those who gave him his greatest joy, his grandchildren: Krysti (Brian Horton), Lyndsay (Daniel Ward), Tiegan, Colin (Rhonda), Jonathon, Hannah, Keegan, Caileen, Quinn and Amy. He was also grateful to have seen the birth of his great grandchildren: Kieran, Mallory, and Ainsley.
Paul was active in both his community and church throughout his life, serving on numerous boards, working with youth and Cubs at Forest Heights Baptist Church and coaching baseball in the community. More recently his community service was to the Town of Cochrane where he served on town council and volunteered many years toward enhancing the arts and culture in the town he loved. A former mayor dubbed him ‘Mr. Cochrane’, and his legacy goes on in more ways than he ever envisioned.
A Memorial Service will be held at Westview Baptist Church,1313 Ranchlands Way N.W., Calgary on Friday, July 19, at 4:00 pm. With a reception to follow.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Paul’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice, or to the Westview Baptist Church Building Fund, 1313 Ranchlands Way N.W., Calgary, Alberta T3G 2A1

Deepest sympathy to Eileen and all the Daniels Family. I’ve known Paul since his first date with Eileen and I will miss his sense of humor and friendliness. I am sorry I will not be able to attend Paul’s funeral service. Lenora and Miles also will be away at an aviation event in Montana. They also extend their sympathies.
A donation will be made to the Westview Baptist Church Building Fund in Paul’s memory.
With love

To Eileen and the Daniels family.
I had the pleasure of meeting Paul, Eileen and all his children at Lisa and David’s wedding. I also enjoyed his company along with Eileen a couple of times at their home in Cochrane. Paul always made me feel comfortable and at ease. Sorry for your loss. Remember all the good times.
Sincerely,
Louis Myers
