CHERWENIUK, Emmalee Anne

November 24, 1998 – March 16, 2017

Some say that there is a new star up in the sky for Emma. To us, Emma shone as bright as the sun, eternally glowing with her smile as bright and warm as its rays. Our precious daughter, and sister, has now become our sun and we will feel Emmalee’s love, radiance, and beauty each and every time we feel its warm rays shine on our faces. The next time you see the sun, pause, take a moment, and bask in its warmth. As you do, close your eyes, breathe deeply, and remember the sweet gift of Emmalee.

Emmalee Anne Cherweniuk brought her smile and smirk into the world on November 24th, 1998 and along with Dad John, and Mom Jane, and Sister Sianna lived a full life with no regrets and touched so many people along the way. She graduated from Lord Beaverbrook High School in 2016 and took her many amazing artistic talents to Lethbridge College in the Interior Design program. She was also a star athlete in school, club, and college volleyball.

She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday March 24, 2017 at 3:00 pm  at First Alliance Church 12345 40 St SE.  A Drop-in Reception will be at the Church following the service until 6:00 pm. Fire Department and other uniformed members are free to wear whatever they like.

I taught Emmalee some of her options when she was in grade five. I always remember her as being the ray of sunshine that is stated in the message from her family. Emmalee was always friendly, smiling and worked very hard. My heartfelt condolences are sent to her family at this very difficult time.

    Jane, John, and Sianna,
I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting your baby girl but could see she was very loved. Listening to John talk about her and doing the Fan Man dance, and listening to him singing “I will Always Love You” made me feel like I did know her and I relived every memory right along with you all. I will think of your family when I hear that song and see the Fan Man dancing. She was blessed to have such an amazing family and I know you will carry her memory with you always and will do her proud in the way you treat those around you. You are beautiful souls. May you remember to always sing when the mood stikes you and hug everyone around you! (me included!!!)

    To Emmalee’s Family and Friends,

On behalf of the entire membership of the Alberta College’s Athletic Conference (ACAC), I offer my most sincere and heartfelt sympathies on your tragic loss. Although our conference is spread across two provinces and 17 post-secondary institutions, we are indeed a connected family and share your grief at the loss of one of our own. I trust that the Lethbridge College Kodiaks and the ACAC became another family for Emmalee during her short time with us, and we are proud that she chose to pursue her education and athletic ambitions with us.

She will be missed – by teammates and opponents alike.

We wish you all the strength and courage to face the difficult days ahead. Please let us know if there is something that the ACAC can do to contribute to the ever-lasting legacy that Emmalee leaves with us all.

    Kind regards,
    Mark Kosak, CEO

To John, Jane, and Sianna Cherweniuk

I Miss You So Much, I found out online about your death today, i saw you at school from Grades 1-4 and again from Grades 7-8, i most recently saw you at the LBHS Grad in 2016 for my brother.

Today, after Emma’s death, several video game couples joined my series of video game couple collage (including MentalXRaina(Sonic) and DarxXCazi(Mario)), and earlier on a library book involving Nazi Germany, also presidential couple portraits at Michelle’s.

also, you were behind the mayor in a March 2016 photoshoot at the Alessia Cara concert.

Interesting Fact:Anne Frank died the same month as you 72 years ago, at a camp. both shared the name Anne(one for the first, one for the middle). and was confusing AF with Anne of Green Gables and the world masterpiece theatre for Nippon

    thank you so much.
    SINCERELY
