CAVENY, Herbert Roy
February 18, 1929 – September 16, 2022
Bert passed away suddenly at Sagewood Care facility in Strathmore on September 16, 2022 at the age of 93.
He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years, Margaret Alice Emily Caveny in 2017.
Bert was passionate and skilled about so many interests including travel, flying his Luscombe, hunting and carpentry. Many times, there was someone at his door asking him how to fix something or build something for them.
Bert is survived by his children Mark Caveny, Patti Kilpatrick (Lloyd), Marilee Hunt (Barrie) and Wendy Attwell (Dan), daughter in law Penny Caveny; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Vera Walker.
He was predeceased by his son Terry James Caveny (2022), daughter-in-law Marie Caveny (2021), grandson Myles Caveny, son-in-law Ronald French and infant son Neil Caveny.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cancer Society or to Diabetes Canada.
A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.

Our thought are with you all. Bert will be missed but remembered by many. After he retired he spent a lot of time at our place shooting gophers and helping with other little tasks.He was very handy. We enjoyed his many stops for lunch or coffee. Rest in Peace Bert
Just heard of Bert’s passing now. Our thoughts are with the family. I always enjoyed hunting & shooting discussions with Bert. Fond memories of a fine gentleman.
