Christy, Ken, Mackenzie, and Jayme you have lost someone who was a wonderful person! It is so difficult to say good-bye when you can’t say good-bye. I will remember Marina with fondness and strive to become the hiker she was. She was so easy to be around. Lots of love to all of you!

Christy, Ken, MacKenzie and Jayme – you are all in our thoughts and prayers right now. We didn’t know your Mom, Grandma – but we know how wonderful she must have been because of how wonderful you (her living legacies) are. Know that you are surrounded by love during this very difficult time. Sending hugs!

Thank you so much, Christy, for taking the trouble to let Marina’s friends know of her passing – a terrible ordeal for you at this very sad time. We know she was absolutely delighted with the way her life was going, being so close to you and your brother and her much-loved grandchildren, and was looking forward to more of the same. So very sad that it is not to be…

I knew Mac and Marina in England when he was studying at the London School of Economics in the 1960s. I have valued their friendship ever since, and latterly kept in touch with Marina at Christmas. I was greatly saddened to read of her passing, and express to Christy and Alexander and their families my deepest sympathies.
