CAMERON, Donald Roy

December 14, 1963 – January 01, 2018

It is with great sadness the family of Don Cameron announce his passing on Monday January 1, 2018 after a brave battle with cancer. Left with wonderful memories that will be cherished forever are his wife Sandi, his son Kenneth (Krystal Godfrey), his mother Helen Cameron, brothers; Dave Cameron and Darcy Cameron (Maria) sisters; Darlene McKinstry and Dorothy Armour (Clark) as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. Don will also be missed by the only “other woman” in his life, his cherished horse Nubie whom he had many wonderful adventures with along with Sandi and her horse Rayelle.

Don was employed at Lancashire Distribution for the last 28 years and we as a family would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to the staff and company for their support during Don’s illness.

Don was smart, funny, compassionate and had a great sense of humour. His spirit will continue to live on and he will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff who compassionately took care of Don at the South Health Campus and the Southwood Hospice.

A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held at PIERSON’S FUNERAL HOME (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 11:00 am.

My sincere condolences to the extended Cameron family on Don’s passing. I knew Don only through Lancashire, but his face would light up when he spoke of both his family, and more recently, his passion for getting out on the horses with his wife and soaking up the great beauty in our wonderful West country. He was a good, honest friend to my family business and I will miss him. Seek peace, think often of his laugh, and cherish his memory. Sincerely, Ray Wildeman
