D: March 12, 2020 Calgary, AB

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Blom Thursday March 12, 2020. Born April 19, 1952 in Melfort, SK to Hilda Hecht and Johan Evert Blom. Survived by his loving partner Deborah Cook: children Monique Blom/Shayne Metcalfe (Magdalena, Miette, Amelie, Sebastien), Michael Blom/Sarah Bradley, Nicole/Krzysztof Pabisiak (Mila, Teo), Jillian/Mered Robarts (Dylan, Kamyrn, Kori), Jordan Cook, sister Judy Seib and many nieces/nephews.  Predeceased by Hilda, Johan, brother Keith, and Jacqueline Perrault.

From a very young age, Terrys love of adventure, wonder and curiosity were fulfilled daily by his love for the great outdoors. His passionate nature found outlets in gardening, fishing, hunting, guiding, camping, travelling, hiking and carpentry. As a Senior Project manager for Alberta Health, Terry was still employed until his passing. He was committed whole heartedly to making a difference in healthcare.

Terry was an incredible partner, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. All those that knew him respected and loved him dearly. He loved to share his knowledge and wanted the best for everyone. His kind, gentle and generous spirit live on in all those he knew and loved.

A celebration of life is planned for late spring/early summer and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Terry Blom – to the Nature Conservancy of Canada, Ducks Unlimited or Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation.

Arrangements entrusted to Cochrane Country Funeral Home, Florence (Flo) Simpson, Funeral Director. Ph: 403-932-1039.

It is with great sadness I’ve heard about Terry’s passing. He was a wonderful friend although we hadn’t connected for a few years. I also had the privilege of knowing Terry in highschool.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Especially sad for all his grandchildren who he adored. A proud Grandpa. A proud Dad..

    Rest in peace Terry.
