AASEN, Ronald “Gary”
September 16, 1944 – May 26, 2021
Gary passed peacefully at home in Cochrane, Alberta on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, in his 76th year.
Beloved spouse and partner to Barbara Kropf, father to Courtney (Kirsten) Cathcart, and stepfather to Taylor (Alison) Cathcart. Loving father of Kirsten (Harpal) Parmar and Kim (Noel) Aasen of Calgary, along with their mother Karen. Proud grandfather of Josh (Kirsten) Parmar and Charly (Kim) Devlin.
Gary is also survived by his brothers, Dale (Barbara) Aasen, and Garth (Lori) Aasen; and his sister, Darlene Cantin (the late Roger). He is also remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Gary was predeceased by his parents, the late Christian and Verna (nee Pettigrew) Aasen; and his brothers, Verne and Glen.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Cochrane Country Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Cochrane on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. MDT. The family invites you to join them online via this link.
