Evelyn Florence Jones, 91, of Cochrane, Alberta, passed away December 16, 2015 at the Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary.
She was born in Manitoba. She and her husband moved to Cochrane, Alberta in the late 1980s from Winnipeg.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Arthur (Ray) Jones of Cochrane, who is no doubt overjoyed to greet her. She is survived by her three daughters Marilyn Kenny; Muriel Wynnobel (Cornell); Teresa Jones (Bill Dagg) and grandchildren Jim Kenny (Marna); Thea Rawn (Gary); Jason Kenny (Elsa); Chris Blake and Robert Blake (Jana) as well as several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was devoted to her family and always put the needs of her family above her own.
We are left to mourn a fine and lovely lady who taught us to appreciate beauty, music, dancing, laughter, nature, loyalty and love. We can only hope to be worthy of being together with her again. We all love her dearly and will miss her always.
A Memorial Service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church ( 404 – 4th Avenue N., Cochrane ) on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to the Cochrane Humane Society ( 62 Griffin Industrial Pt., Cochrane AB T4C 0A3 ) www.cochranehumane.ca or a charity of your choice.
